Burrenbeo (Charity Number CHY 16834) is wholly owned by the Burrenbeo Trust Limited. Burrenbeo Trust builds on the work of Burrenbeo Teoranta, an information and education provider for the Burren region. The concept of Burrenbeo emerged in early 2002 in response to a real need for a one-stop information resource for the Burren. ince its inception,... the work of Burrenbeo has included the development of the portal website for the Burren, www.burrenbeo.com, the development of an award-winning CD ROM; Images Of The Fertile Rock, the production of multilingual fact-sheets for the Burren, the design and delivery of the educational outreach programme 'Eco-Beo', the development of the eco-tourism network for the region, `Burren Business Network', the opening of the Burrenbeo resource centre in Kinvara, The delivery of local, national and international lectures and talks on the Burren.Burrenbeo has lead and organised many walks in the region and has commissioned research into options for the strategic and sustainable approach to the management of the Burren. In order to ensure a strong future and to find a permanent home for the Burrenbeo project, in May 2008 Burrenbeo Teoranta transferred all its assets and resources to the Burrenbeo Trust including the resources of this website. Burrenbeo Trust has 12 board members representing many interests across the region.
