Mike Holmes, host and professional contractor, and his team of skilled tradespeople rip out the bad and redo the job the original contractors failed to complete. A Burlington, Ontario family hired a contractor to complete the addition of a second story to expand their 1,200 square-foot bungalow on Lake Ontario. When the contractor made a mess of the HVAC system and left the homeowners with uncompleted second and third floor framing, the family of six resorted to cramped living in the basement. After the family called Holmes on Homes, the production team shot the story for an upcoming one-hour holiday special, Holmes for the Holidays.
