Building Energy Control is the new name for Eco Instruments Ltd. Eco Instruments Limited formed back in 2008 as a small company founded by Stewart Barr and Ken Carter. Using their many years of experience in energy management for Tesco, they looked to plug a gap in the market left by contractors who were undertaking large energy projects but failin... g to save energy successfully for their clients. They repeatedly saw contractors making the same kinds of mistakes; not checking energy data, failing to carry out calculations, wrong activity on-site, poor or non-existent commissioning and a general failure to grasp that project costs must be covered by savings. We put together detailed energy efficiency projects, which are then carried out by a number of reliable sub-contractors with whom we maintain an excellent business relationship. We cover a vast range of lighting, HVAC, gas and refrigeration works and create a plan which is tailor-made for each store or premises with a view to saving as much energy as possible in these areas and thus saving money for our clients. Our standard methods of work include providing full Health & Safety documentation, energy tracking, clerk of works visits and ongoing support, all of which aim to provide continuous peace of mind for our customers. Eco Instruments was a great success, with a £15million turnover (2014/15) and a long list of satisfied clients including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, London City Airport, BMI Healthcare and many more. Now, the company has undergone a complete rebrand and comes to you in the form of Building Energy Control.
