Building Bridges

Located in the scenic mountains of northwestern Montana, Building Bridges has been helping families cope with these issues since 1996. Our goal is to help your child develop the necessary tools to lead a sober and productive lifestyle. The young men in our program develop new skills, strengthen their ability to cope with everyday challenges in a so... ber manner, and learn to interact positively with their community, school, and their family. Founded by Steve and Jill Fairbank in 1996, hundreds of young men have worked through our program. In that time we have experienced growth, made changes, updated our facilities, and added new facilities, all the while never losing focus of our primary goal. In 2006, Steve and Jill welcomed their son, Kurt Fairbank, and his wife, Sarah, into the organization. Kurt is now our Clinical Director and Sarah manages many of the day to day administrative tasks that are so important, and so easily overlooked. In 2006, we welcomed Andy Burwig into the fold. Andy has been our Academic Coordinator since that time and has worked hard to ensure all of the young men in our program are set up for success in their academic lives. He has updated our classroom computer lab, enabling our home schooled students to take advantage of the online public school curriculum, easing the eventual transition to the student's full attendance in public school. Our program has a long history or working closely with the public schools and because of this, we also have an excellent record and reputation with them. With the use of a strong 12-step program, recreational activities, and work therapy, our licensed counselors act as a guide to success. Our students undergo one-on-one sessions, group sessions, and peer feedback in order to receive the constant reinforcement and support they need during this learning period.
