Builders Supply Company was founded in 1908 and purchased by the Gregory family in 1909. It has been in continuous operation since that time at the same location in Lancaster, S.C. Over the course of the last century the Company has transformed itself from a vendor of ice, coal and lumber to a hardware retailer to its present focus of selling build... ing material to the leading homebuilders of Lancaster and the Charlotte region. Located on 12 acres along the L&C Railway in south Lancaster, Builders Supply stocks one of the largest inventories of lumber and millwork in the Carolinas. Up to 100 carloads of lumber are delivered to the company's yard each year and most all material is stored under cover. This allows the company to put better quality lumber of job sites at a lower cost than competitors without the company's storage capacity and rail siding. Three automated door lines capable of producing over 200 door units per day are operated by experienced shop men. Numerous styles of interior and exterior doors are stocked here and available for delivery in one week or less. The company also provide expert installation of windows and exterior doors.
