The great value of psychotherapy is that it helps you befriend yourself more fully. I have been in practice for over 35 years. In that time, I have integrated a number of psychotherapy models into my work, from Client-Centered and Gestalt therapy to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
