About Brookside Stables
Currently run by 3 generations: owner Ann Brown, Ann's daughter Melissa Hammond and Ann's dad Stanley Cross. Between the three, there is literally more then a lifetime of experience with horses. Behind the scenes, Ann's mom, Sylvia Cross, acts as cheerleader and family caretaker. Ann's husband Bret is always a strong supporter and there to do the needed repairs. Shawn, Melissa's husband is another strong supporter. Just getting his own horse and learning hands on he is there to help with what ever job that comes along. Shawn's son Matt is quickly leaning about the horse world and he and his boy Tucker have become quite the team. This passion for horses in the family has encouraged the stable's rapid growth from 3 horses to an average of 24 horses. Brookside is home to many different breeds of horses from the Miniatures on up . They are all currently being used in the lesson and camp programs.
