Brooklyn Basement Records

We started in Brooklyn, NY and are now based in Nashville, TN (but we just couldn't change our awesome name despite the geographic move). The label was founded in 2015 by Ron Pope & his manager, Blair Clark. it launched with a small roster of developing artists of profound talent (Truett, tim olstad) and also became the home of ron's releases. broo... klyn basement was built with a do-it-yourself mindset and it continues to operate in that capacity today. in 2018, the label evolved and began partnering with artists off label. as the purveyors of independent release strategy, it made sense to fill in the gap for artists who did not want to be tied to a label partner for the long-term. from there, the marketing arm of the label was born. we offer a wealth of services from pUBLIC RELATIONS to release strategy to creative assets (and pretty much everything in between). We never operate in an "off the shelf" manner and only partner with artists that we feel are a true fit. in 2020, brooklyn basement expanded once again and began partnering with non-music creators for brand management and overall strategy. with covid-19 creating challenges for all artistic endeavors, we are choosing to look at this time as an opportunity to reflect, expand, and streamline all of our processes.
