North Preston Medical Practice have teamed up with Fulwood Leisure Centre to offer our patients a number of ways to increase the amount of exercise they do in 2019 - which couldn't be better timed after the Christmas excesses! Patients simply need to call and ask for a FREE day pass and they will then be able to use all of the facilities on their chosen date. Following this 'taster' patients can self-refer themselves and access a 12-week programme if they meet the following criteria; Criteria - Have an existing health condition (high BP, diabetes, bone or joint problems) exclusions include unstable angina, resting systolic BP over 180mmHg, resting diastolic BP over 100mmHg, uncontrolled tachycardia over 100bpm, unstable or acute heart failure, unstable diabetes, unstable arrhythmia, recent embolism, thrombophlebitis, active pericarditis or myocarditis, newly diagnosed angina.
