Briton EMS is a global electronics manufacturer. It was formed in 1979 by Tony Abri, chairman and commercial director, and Bill Burton, managing director, and grew from a handful of employees to over 100 before its acquisition in 2013 by the US electronics manufacturing provider OSI Electronics. Turnover has now reached £20m in the UK. Recent inves... tment in the UK by OSI Electronics has given us a three fold increase in SMT capacity, a doubling of space for box build and the addition of selective conformal coating, vapour phase reflow and x-ray inspection. It means we can produce a wide variety of complete product and PCBA in the UK at higher volumes and complements the complex product build, RF technology and final functional testing on which we have built our reputation.
