Welcome to Brenel Alpacas Fine Yarns and Fibres, we are a family owned New Zealand alpaca business located on the Canterbury Plains south of Christchurch. We started from small beginnings in 1996 with 2 wether (gelded) alpacas and over the years breed and produced high quality alpacas and fibre. From the very beginning we could see great potential... not only for these beautiful animals and their endearing nature but also for their luxurious fibre. We no longer breed alpacas, however the business focus is now 100% on fibre processing, specialising in natural and hand dyed quality yarns and knitted garments, all available from our online boutique. Our business is passionate about knitting and textile crafts and we are dedicated to bring you the best quality New Zealand knitting yarns, garments and patterns. We love creating unique and interesting colour combinations using Landscapes Dyes and a variety of dyeing techniques to achieve our look.
