Brazos Education Foundation Inc is a Texas-based nonprofit community foundation dedicated to expanding affordable access to higher education through scholarships, mentoring, and educational resources. Established in 2010 and headquartered in Waco, the Foundation operates under the philosophy of "education 4 everyone" and serves qualifying graduatin... g seniors from Title 1 and other high schools throughout McLennan County, Texas. The organization currently provides renewable scholarships to 48 students and one-time scholarships to 24 additional students, with scholars attending 18 colleges and universities across Texas. Beyond direct scholarship support, Brazos Education Foundation delivers ongoing mentoring and guidance to help students navigate the higher education landscape and achieve their academic goals. The Foundation's outreach extends beyond its geographic base through virtual assistance capabilities, enabling the organization to support prospective students statewide with information and guidance on pursuing higher education opportunities. Administrative operations are sustainably supported through underwriting by Brazos Higher Education Service Corporation, Inc., allowing the Foundation to direct maximum resources toward its public mission as a nonprofit provider of student loans and educational access. The organization maintains accessible office hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional appointment availability outside standard business hours to serve students and families with varying schedules.
