Brandye Phillips

Brandye Phillips is the author of five books in the areas of children's safety and inspirational poetry. She earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Columbia College-Chicago. She graduated with honors. She also earned a master's degree in Communications from Governors State University. Brandye speaks several languages. Moreover, with an ongoi... ng desire to learn, Brandye also has earned credits toward a doctorate degree in Business Administration at Columbia Southern University. Brandye is the daughter of internationally known Caribbean Soul singer West Phillips. His hit songs include: I'm Just a Sucker for a Pretty Face, Tell Me, Organized Desire, and Comfort Zone. Following in her father's footsteps, Brandye is also a singer and performer. She does puppet shows for kids at schools and libraries. She also performs a tribute to Tina Turner at corporate events, upon request. Brandye's background in Journalism has given her many opportunities in television and radio. She enjoys writing, teaching, and community organizing. In early 2017, Brandye plans to continue her education at one of the nation's leading universities studying International Relations.
