bowman educational services, inc. first opened its doors to students in 1983. Today, more than 3 decades later, we continue to provide educational services to students of all ages. Over the years at bowman educational services, inc. we have increased from a one-person private practice to an educational collaborative with 70 Academic Coaches, Execut... ive Function Coaches, Educational Diagnosticians, Speech-Language Pathologists, Career Counselors, and Educational Consultants in Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and California. It is our belief that many students need a team of professionals to solve their educational concerns. Many of our clients, from ages 3-75 present educational needs that are unique. Our approach does not just pay lipservice to the word individualized. We are truly offering tailor-made educational programs to preschoolers, school-age, college, and adult students with learning differences. Our tagline There are no short stories here refers to the fact that our students often return to us for an array of services over the course of many years, as their educational needs change. For example, dyslexic students may first see us for Educational Testing and Tutoring services in the first grade. After the student learns to read, they may leave our services, until the 6th grade when they return for help with expanded written language skills. When the children have mastered written output skills, they may leave our services again, and come back later for college counseling and individualized SAT/ACT preparation in the 11th grade. Sometimes, they re-contact us from college for our Executive Function-by-Skype services, if they feel overwhelmed by a full college load of courses.
