About Bouncy Balls

Gumballs have been around for over a century, but gum has been around even longer. Historians trace the origins of chewing gum back to the ancient Greeks, who chewed resin from mastiche tree barks. The Mayans also had their version of gum called chicle, sap from the Sapodilla tree. Native Americans introduced chewing gum to settlers when they came to America. But the gumball was not invented until the 20th century. Legend has it that a German grocer living in New York was upset that no one wanted to buy his chewing gum, so he rolled it up and threw it across his store. The wad of gum landed in a barrel of sugar. The grocer then looked at the gumball and admired it. The rest is history! Ever since then, the gumball has been a favorite of both kids and adults, and gumball machines can be seen everywhere. Nowadays, not only gumballs are dispensed from gumball machines, but other toys as well. But the gumball still remains as popular as ever. Stores, restaurants, amusement parks and arcadeRead more

What does Bouncy Balls do?

Gumballs have been around for over a century, but gum has been around even longer. Historians trace the origins of chewing gum back to the ancient Greeks, who chewed resin from mastiche tree barks. The Mayans also had their version of gum called chicle, sap from the Sapodilla tree. Native Americans introduced chewing gum to settlers when they came... to America. Stores, restaurants, amusement parks and arcades are just a few places these machines can be seen on a regular basis. Companies like Global Gumball lead the way when it comes to selling gumballs and spiral gumball machines. The legend of the gumball continues with the German grocer borrowing a peanut vending machine from a friend, and changing the mechanism so it could dispense gumballs instead of peanuts. By the 1920s, the gumball machine had grown in popularity. Walter Diemer, came up with the gumball ingredients to make the gum rubbery enough to chew, but elastic enough to blow bubbles. The first gumball was pink. The Dubble Bubble was the first commercially successful bubblegum, and was first sold as a gumball. Now gumball machines come in many shapes and sizes, and bring joy to kids around the world. It is a lucrative -- and sweet -- business for those in the bulk vending machine industry. One of the most popular machine is the spiral gumball machine, invented by Global Gumball. One of the leading names in the industry. A bouncy ball (also known as super ball) is a ...Read More
