Bouncity

Bouncity is a Location Based Gaming Platform which enables user to earn points and rewards by doing some activities that we call challenges at places, during events, or with brands. "Go Places, Do Challenges, and Get Rewards" is what we want to try to make people do and we believe that the idea of marrying game mechanics, such as competition, rewar... ds, and challenges, with real life activities can be very effective in influencing behavior. After all, social network is so last decade and this decade is the year of location based gaming which is empowered by the growth of smartphone markets, many of which provides GPS functionality. With Bouncity, we hope that we can also help society to do good deeds by building a gaming layer on top of social works, letting people to think that doing social work is in a way like completing quest in games. When and how did Bouncity came to be? The idea of Bouncity was born in December 2010, when Wenas Agusetiawan (CEO), Dimas Surya (CFO), and Jeffry Anthony (CTO), the three founders of PhaseDev, were meeting together over dinner to discuss about the company's product planning for the following year. All of them were fascinated by the idea of building a game layer on top of the world. They, together with Kevin Osmond (COO), wanted and tried to realize this idea, which would later be called Bouncity, and started to develop the product. Later on, the team enlisted the help of Natali Ardianto as the Technical Advisor and Richard Fang as the Art Director of PhaseDev, without the advise and assistance of whom, Bouncity would not have come as far as it has today.
