Boris Tchaikovsky

This site exists since the 1998, and works in accordance with the decision and under the aegis of The Boris Tchaikovsky Society. The group of people (now they are in the Council of the Society) was established themselves in 1994 and are working to support and dissiminate the music of Boris Tchaikovsky since that time. The public non-profit organiza... tion The Boris Tchaikovsky Society was founded in 2002 by composer's widow Yanina Iossifovna Moshinskaya-Tchaikovskaya ([25.04.1920 - 5.05.2013]), his pupils, and music enthusiasts. The Boris Tchaikovsky Society was officially registered in 2003. Among the Honorary Members of the Society there are such outstanding musicians as Vladimir Fedoseyev, Viktor Pikaizen, Edward Serov, Andrei Golovin. The foreign members include the musicologists, musicians and music enthusiasts from Ireland, UK, USA, Switzerland, France, Germany, Brasil, Netherlands and Belgium. The activity of the Society is supported by Roman Ledenyov, Alexander Rudin, Valery Kikta. The late Rudolf Barshai, Galina Vishnevskaya, Mstislav Rostropovich, Valentin Berlinsky, Karen Khachaturian, Andrei Eshpai, Timur Mynbaev were the Society's supporters. Society assisted in issues of more than 20 CDs (including new and world premiere recordings) on such labels as Naxos, Chandos Records, Hyperion Records, Relief, Profil Medien, Albany Records, Northern Flowers, Melodiya, Toccata Classics; assisted in the preparation of: Boris Tchaikovsky Chamber Music Festival (the first in the world!) in Gent (Belgium, 2004), performance of Cello Concerto in Paris (France, 2004), performance of Six Etudes in Odense (Denmark, 2005), performances of chamber works at the "SovietFest" in Manchester (UK, 2006), performances of some pieces on West Cork Chamber Music Festival (Ireland, 2010-11), and many others. In 2005 The Boris Tchaikovsky Award was launched. In 2007 The Society launched the scores series " Boris Tchaikovsky. Selected Works ".
