About Borderlines

Borderlines is based in North Cumbria with its staff and directors coming from within a 40 mile radius of Carlisle. This base allows us to be fully operational throughout Northern England and Southern Scotland, hence the name Borderlines! Our qualified instructors have been delivering angling/educational projects for juniors and adults from Amble to Stranraer and from Lancaster to Moffat. Since 1998 our staff have worked with over 8,000 young people. Working with many schools and youth groups and in conjunction with people and organisations like the Salmon and Trout Association, Environment Agency, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Cumbria County Council, Carlisle City Council, Solway Heritage, SEPA, Eden Rivers Trust, Annan District Salmon fishery Board, the Nith District Salmon Fishery Board, the Galloway Fisheries Trust, Carlisle Youth Offending Team, Barnardos, Impact Housing, Wigton Youth Station, BASC to name a few, as a result we now have a considerable working experience. What do we offer? We have our own vehicles and equipment from fishing gear to microscopes, tanks and dipping nets. We can deploy our team to provide a full service to 40 individuals to schools, organisations, businesses, corporate days etc and can cover all aspects through sea, coarse and game fishing but always with that special emphasis of understanding the environment and how to respect it. Borderlines work with groups of all ages and abilities from nursery to secondary schools and colleges. We can tailor our progammes to suit your needs, as well as complimenting the National Curriculum and Curriculum for Excellence, they also work with the BTECH, ASDAN and other awards like the John Muir and Duke of Edinburgh schemes. Our angling/environmental programmes can provide the 'hook' that gets excluded young people back in to main stream education.
