When we read something we love, something that moves us to tears or to laughter, we want to share that moment with somebody else, and perhaps they'll be moved to read it too. We are a group of friends who for years have been sharing informal book reviews and participating in book discussion groups. We found that others would like to hear our incred... ibly biased views on what books are good, so we've started this web page to spread the word. Then when Amazon.com started offering its Associates program, we couldn't resist adding the temptation of allowing you to buy your books right here when you are reading about them. These are not "critical" literary reviews. BookFriend opinions are more akin to "People's Choice" awards, letting you know why we think these are great books. All the books we've chosen here are wonderful books for their intended audience. We are expanding our lists all the time to include more great books (there are LOTS more of them, of course). Some of our books may be listed, but still awaiting the final review to be posted. Check back often to see what new books we've added. We're having fun. We hope you find BookFriends worth browsing through. We know there are lots of great books that you have read and that we haven't reviewed yet, so email us with your suggestions, and stop in and sign our guestbook .
