Body Balance was founded with the goal of providing a professional environment where clients could receive specialized care from excellent therapists and be educated on ways to better care for their own bodies unique needs. He would always say that she had a magic touch and knew how to find all the "right" spots. Marla was always amazed at how quickly he would start to relax and his mood would brighten. This continued with other family members and friends throughout the years Eventually, Marla was led down the road of working in Special Education where the importance of physical touch continued to play a huge role. Soon around the school campus people were noticing how hyperactive children were more able to concentrate on their schoolwork. Aggressive children became calmer. And children with high muscle tone seemed more at ease. Specialists at the school would ask Marla what she was doing to promote these changes. It was the importance of physical touch, it was massage. This is what finally influenced Marla to pursue Massage Therapy as a profession. Marla is a licensed massage therapist and has taken continuing education courses to specialize in orthopedic style therapeutic massage. She has adapted her training to address the specific wants and needs of all her clients. She offers a subtle yet deep tissue treatment with a profound relaxation effect often causing clients to be unaware of the effectiveness in the moment. With the amount of stress that surrounds us in our daily lives, Marla is honored that people look forward to seeing her and leave happier, feel their tension relieved, and with the knowledge that they've received the care they need from a professional who cares.
