Boat Magazine was born out of our passion for storytelling, our obsession with traveling to new places, and our habit of buying way too many good-looking magazines. Published by Boat Studio, a creative studio based in Hoxton, East London specialising in branding and content creation, our hope is that our magazine acts as a great big 'refresh' butto... n. Each issue focuses on a different complicated city and our goal is to help people create or update their ideas and images of that place. Sarajevo is a young, vibrant, creative city - not just a war-torn one. Detroit is hard-working, resilient, and inspiring - not just down-and-out. There's a lot more to London than red double-decker buses, Big Ben, and old phone booths. Boat Magazine is biannual and for each issue we move to a new city and work with local talent - writers, photographers, artists, and musicians - to get a snapshot of life in that place.
