There are many examples of fine aluminum fishing boats, aluminum water taxis and other commercial boats demonstrating the many styles, designs and eclectic tastes of the customers. There seems to be a growing trend towards Produc... tion Boat Building, now that aluminum boat manufacturers are building more pleasure boats. They are doing so because they can use more advanced CAD CAM 3D Manufacturing to cut costs on the building floor, while building better fitting and balanced boats. They can recover the costs of the design over several boats while building better boats for their customers. These are compelling reasons indeed. We are well aware of the many advantages of 3D Design including, prototype development. We are happy to do away with the 5 page interpretive aluminum boat plan in favour of the 220+ page assembly method outline, created from 3d CAD models. Our boat parts are CNC cut and bent, rather than part-by-part fabrication.
