Blue Roots Speech & Language

Blue Roots Speech & Language is an in-home speech therapy service that incorporates play, positive reinforcement, family, and fun into therapy in order to create a warm and motivating environment to facilitate speech and language development. My passion for helping people with speech and language disorders began at a young age. I watched my brother... struggle to develop language and saw the impact this had on my family. As he overcame these barriers, I realized the importance of communication and was eager to pursue it in greater depth. At this point I knew what I was meant to do. I graduated in 2007 with both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno. I have worked in both Arizona and Nevada doing early intervention with children birth to three, I've worked in a private practice, and at several public schools within two different school districts. I have had the great opportunity to help empower children with an array of disabilities and communication deficits, to better interact with their family, friends and within their community. My family and I have lived in the Reno/Sparks area our entire lives and what an amazing place to live! I am the mom of two adorable little boys, and have been married to my amazing husband for five years.
