BLOCS is the premier need-based scholarship program in the Philadelphia region, providing students the opportunity to succeed in over 100 area Catholic schools. BLOCS uses donations, a Pennsylvania Tax Credit Program, and an endowment to award grade school, high school and special education scholarships to as many children-of any religion-as possib... le. Since 1980, BLOCS has invested in the lives of tens of thousands of children throughout the Philadelphia area, including some of the poorest neighborhoods in the City. BLOCS is committed to giving children access to high quality, values-based education in Philadelphia area Catholic schools. From its inception BLOCS has been supported by a diverse group of businesses and individuals. During the 2017-2018 school year, BLOCS was able to grant partial tuition scholarships to more than 16,000 students and raise over 19.5 million dollars in funds for families in need. With the support of its Board, friends, and donors, BLOCS endeavors to increase the number of scholarships distributed each year and help strengthen the schools for future generations and for the good of the company's region.
