About Blankenship Counseling
The teenage years are tough, now more than ever. Trauma, grief, stress, self-doubt, and uncertainty of the future all need a safe place to unload. I've spent my career helping teens cope, navigate, own it, and grow. I graduated with a Masters in Counseling from Doane College, Lincoln, in 2007 and am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. I have experience as a therapist in many settings and have always worked with teens and their families on issues involving trauma, anger, anxiety, substance use, oppositional defiance, self-esteem, grief, depression, and goal setting. I have worked for the last 12 years as a school-based therapist. Blankenship Counseling opened in Summer 2020 at Next Chapter Counseling in Gretna. I am passionate about doing what I can to support area youth as they navigate their way in this world. Utilizing a cognitive-behavioral approach, I am able to help you re-write the narrative of the past and begin to write the future.Explore more
