Blackett Photography aims to provide an affordable professional service to drivers and riders at Run What Ya Brung (RWYB) and Test and Tune days at Santa Pod. We also cover National Race Meetings and Drift What Ya Brung (DWYB). With unrivalled access to the start line and other areas, we are able to capture stunning shots of you and your vehicle on... the famous Santa Pod, 1/4 mile drag strip that you can keep forever. Photos are presented at Santa Pod in our portakabin next to the media centre within approximately half an hour of them being taken. Paula Blackett manages the portakabin, enabling customers to view thumbnails of their photos and choose to see them larger on our laptop. Customers are then able to take a CD home with images or choose a 9x6 inch print in a complimentary presentation mount. Two different techniques are used at Santa Pod to capture the images: Panning This involves following the car or bike exactly, using a slow shutter speed. This captures the vehicle but blurs the background, increasing the feeling of speed. I can normally read the tax discs on the bikes, the photos are so sharp.Read More
