About Bikesmiths
A local shop with local roots, Bikesmiths started in 1975 as Recycles, a small used bike shop near the IU campus. We now specialize in new bikes from Giant, Cannondale and Surly, but we're still a small local shop, and have used bikes as well. Personal, professional service has always ranked at the top at Bikesmiths: every employee is both an avid cyclist and a mechanic. By living and working with bicycles, we are uniquely equipped to help you choose the right bike, or fix the bike you already own within nearly any budget. With over 80 years combined experience repairing bicycles, if we can't fix it, it's probably broken! The walls of Bikesmiths feature memorabilia including various awards, sponsorships and historic relics, even some from the movie Breaking Away.
