Our goal was to form a company that specialized in fast track tenant fit-outs utilizing our own in house personnel to perform as much of the work as possible. We intended to use our own work force to supervise and coordinate the projects in addition to doing all of the demolition, carpentry, drywall, acoustical, casework, millwork, doors & hardware... and painting. In essence we would only have to subcontract Flooring and the MEP trades to complete the tenant spaces turn- key in the quickest and most efficient methods possible. Within a year or two of commencing we were able to become one of the premier office fit-out contractors and we were able to produce not only fast track spaces but the quality of the finished work rivaled anyone in the Baltimore-Metro Area. BHR, INC. worked almost exclusively for one premier development company that built up large portions of Columbia, Owings Mills, Harbor Place, Hunt Valley, Silver Spring Metro Plaza and Landover, MD. Our reputation for meeting customer expectations and providing outstanding customer service became our sole purpose and the driving force which is still the primary focus of our company today (30) years later. In this new era of the Construction Management firms that specialize in providing administration services (only) and depending on subcontractors for all labor, BHR, INC. is still able to thrive and we have maintained our primary goal of still having our own employees do as much of the work as possible to control the quality and expedite the schedules. Our field supervisors have an average of 15-25 years of experience in the construction industry and most of them have completed a qualified apprenticeship program and attained a certificate of Master Carpentry from the State of Maryland. Our administration team has a mixture of managers, administrators, civil engineers and certified tradesman that have been in construction administration and supervision for 10-35 years.
