About Bethany
Bethany Presbyterian Church is a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA) . In a nutshell, that means we are a connectional Christian body that is reformed, and always reforming. You can find a brief statement of faith here . Bethany is also proud to be a More Light Congregation , which means we fully welcome people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender into the life and ministry of the church Bethany Presbyterian Church was formally established in 1904 by the Olympia Presbytery. Prior to this we were active as a mission church school starting in the 1890s. From the very beginning we have been a congregation that seeks to serve our neighbors by pursuing tangible works of justice and by building up the common life in our city. That tradition is alive and well at Bethany today, leading us in new directions. We trust in Gods life-giving and life-saving love thats been revealed to us in Jesus.
