Berger Learning Group

The Berger Learning Group provides a range of ABA services for children with special needs as well as typically-developing children varying in age from 18 months to 16 years. The Group's highly-trained staff works with families and school districts under the supervision of its director, Diane Berger, MA, BCBA, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and... a Certified Special Educator in New Jersey and New York. Diane received her Master's degree in Behavior Disorders - Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Columbia University's Teachers College. After beginning her career teaching at a private New York preschool serving children with autism and other developmental disorders in 2001, Diane worked as an ABA Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) at a major New York not-for-profit organization for persons with disabilities. She is an adjunct lecturer in special education research in the graduate program at Queens College. She has served as president and is currently on the board of Special Parents of Teaneck (SPOT), a local influential parent support group, and is co-president of Teaneck SEPAG (Special Education Parent Advisory Group). Diane has also guest lectured at Columbia University and presented at workshops and conferences including the QC Regional Autism Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders Annual Conference. Among her professional affiliations are the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), the New Jersey Association for Behavior Analysis (NJABA), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the Division on Developmental Disabilities (DDD), the Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders (CCBD) and the Autism Society of America (ASA).
