Beresini Vineyards

Black Dog Ranch is a small family-owned producer of Pinot Noir wine in Los Carneros, Napa Valley. We produce 200 to 300 cases, on average, per vintage. Our vineyard is on 7 acres in Los Carneros, Napa Valley and we grow both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir on the property. The vines on 4.49 acres produce Chardonnay grapes for TORs Torchiana Chardonnay th... e Beresini Chardonnay grapes are sold to TOR as the single vineyard source for his Torchiana Chardonnay. The first vintage of Beresini Pinot Noir was in 2011, and the 2011 and the 2013 are sold out. The few cases remaining of the 2012 are available for Kennel Wine Club members only. Currently we are selling the 2014 and 2016 Beresini Pinot Noir through the website and to high-end restaurants and wine retail stores throughout Northern California. The 2017 will be released in early 2020. The 2014 Beresini Pinot Noir received 5 out of 5 stars from Ronn Wiegand , Master Sommelier and Master of Wine. The 2016 has not yet been rated. In 2019, we sold almost 2 acres of our Pinot Noir grapes to Blue Farm Wines and Gustavo Farms. Blue Farm is owned by Anne Moeller-Racke. She is the former owner and vineyard manager at Buena Vista, and then at Donum. In 2001, she started Blue Farm WInes. Gustavo Brambila has his own winery and tasting room in downtown Napa. In the story of the Judgement of Paris which was made into the 2008 film Bottle Shock at which Chateau Montelenas Chardonnay won the highest award, the actor Freddy Rodriguez portrays Gustavo Brambila.
