( Oct. 16, 2011)BENin10D continues to make good progress and now has a specialized wheelchair and now has a specialized van with hand controls to drive with, for him to get around in and BENin10D gets around by himself with no help now and BENin10D has now constructed a new performing chair, complete from spare wheel chair parts, that is all flat b... lack for perfect stage presence, more to be announced about the new performing chair soon. BENin10D is still the same independent man he was before being paralyzed, he has begun some new hobbies of making some very exquisite custom walking canes for the vets at his local VA hospital and making items for his closest cousin Staff Sergeant Charles Benintende, a Ranger of 17 years, assigned to the Black Scarves Brigade, stationed in the heat of the battles in Afghanistan, Charlie aside from being a top notch ranger has been studying Theology and often steps in for the Chaplain over there when he can, so BENin10D has been making items that Charlie Ranger group can use over there including customized "Black Scarves" Pistol Grips for their M9 Beretta sidearms. BENin10D, states it is just another side of being creative, I did not notice before I was slowed down, perhaps this is GOD's way of slowing me down and showing me other ways of being creative and helpful to other human beings. The real reason of releasing this information is that for the last 1 1/2 years BENin10D has had to turn down a rather high number of performance and appearance opportunities and BENin10D would not allow us to tell people why and we felt it was hurting his reputation by turning people down for live performances or activities without letting them know why. When we told BENin10D we would release this statement he stated he wanted people to know, his music is the way it is because he is who he is, not because of his injuries.
