About Benefit Horizons
Benefit Horizons Corporation was founded in Glastonbury, CT on July 3, 1995 by James R. Callahan (Jim), an insurance sales and marketing executive who gained his knowledge of the employee benefits industry over the first eighteen years of his career. Jim recognized there was a lack of service in the small to medium size business arena. His goal was to better service these businesses on a day-to-day basis. With this in mind, Jim began to focus on voluntary group benefits rather than traditional individual issued voluntary benefits. The objective was to streamline the enrollment process while lowering costs for both the individual and the employer. Since inception, the company has seen its customer base grow steadily through client retention and satisfaction. In 2008, Jim's daughter Jamie C.
