About Benefit Brew

We make beer, and we want to use our powers of craft beer creation for good! A few years back we decided that an awesome way to do this would be to create a special beer for a charity, name the beer after the cause and donate the proceeds-the charity receives some much-needed support, and we get to brew a fun new beer! However we quickly ran into a problem: there are just way too many deserving causes for us to simply choose one. To solve our conundrum we put it out to the community to tell us who they wanted to support and the Benefit Brew was born! The process of determining the charity is fairly simple: A nomination period kicks things off, where any federally-registered charity can be nominated for the prize (with the exception of children's charities who cannot be nominated due to age-related alcohol marketing regulations). Once nominations close 10 finalists are chosen to give the public a manageable number to consider as well as ensure that a variety of social areas are represenRead more

What does Benefit Brew do?

We make beer, and we want to use our powers of craft beer creation for good! A few years back we decided that an awesome way to do this would be to create a special beer for a charity, name the beer after the cause and donate the proceeds-the charity receives some much-needed support, and we get to brew a fun new beer! However we quickly ran into a... problem: there are just way too many deserving causes for us to simply choose one. Once nominations close 10 finalists are chosen to give the public a manageable number to consider as well as ensure that a variety of social areas are represented. Regardless of where the charities finish in the voting, each one will receive a $500 donation just for participating in the vote. After the voting period ends the charity with the most votes will be named Benefit Brew Winner! We collaborate with them on a specially designed label, and when the beer is released we host a little release party as well as donate full proceeds of the sale of the beer for the cause. We hope you will help us in our quest to help others by nominating and voting for your favourite charity. Good luck to everyone participating and thanks for supporting the Benefit Brew.Read More
