Bei Capelli was founded in 2001 by Nancy Cartonio and Melissa Vigue. Their goal was to create an upscale yet unpretentious salon environment that provides cutting edge education for talented stylists who love what they do. They have achieved this goal and created an atmosphere that is nurturing and inspiring for salon guests and employees. In the 1... 2 short years since Bei Capelli first opened its doors, it has received accolades from clients and the community and is now recognized as one of Maine's premier hair salons. Continuing to underscore Bei Capelli's commitment to excellence, the salon has been nominated by North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) for the prestigious Global Salon Business Award. Bei Capelli has also been featured in Salon Today 200 Magazine for 4 consecutive years. In addition, Bei Capelli has generously given back to the community by donating their services to various local charities and through an annual on-site fundraiser has raised to date close to $25,000. The dedication and hard work of the Bei Capelli team has benefited the National Kidney Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Research foundation, The Cancer Community Center of South Portland, Maine and The American Red Cross. 2011 marked the 10 year anniversary of Bei Capelli's entrance into the southern Maine scene where beautiful hair is what it's all about, and we continue to celebrate that feat with gratitude and passion for the business! These years have been an exciting period of growth that have led to a gorgeous new location (with ample free parking) and a professional staff that has grown to more than 28 stylists, and several support staff members.
