Beam Labs is the driving force behind Beam, the smart projector that fits in any light socket. Originally it started as a Kickstarter crowdfunding project, by now selling to retailers all over the world, such as Harrods (UK), Fnac (FR), KaDeWe (DE), Amazon, Coolblue (NL) and many others. Beam Labs itself is currently located in the Netherlands and... also distributes from there. We aim to improve the way people live with infotainment by providing a soft- and hardware ecosystem that integrates infotainment in your environment. At Beam Labs we have talented engineers, designers, marketing and sales people. Were working together to develop new products and software as well as supporting our existing products and get them to our customers. During a brainstorm session in March of 2014 someone came up with the thought what if we could make a projector that you could screw in your light socket. The rest is, as they say, history. In February 2015 we launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for the smart light socket projector named Beam. This campaign was so successful that we raised a total amount of $760,000 which resulted in the best funded Kickstarter-campaign of The Netherlands! With the help of our Kickstarter backers we managed to set up a team and prepare Beam for mass production. In 7 months we set up the manufacturing, went through certification tests, developed software and set up a sales channel. At the end of 2015 we were ready to start shipping Beams to our backers all over the world. In Januray 2016 Beam Labs was able to expand its operations by secruing investment.
