"Bealenergy, LLC is a start-up renewable energy development business based in downeast Maine. We are family-owned, family-operated, and family-and-friends-funded. Presently, our focus is on community-scale wind energy development, but we plan to expand our business to include other forms of renewable energy generation in the future. Prior to enteri... ng the renewable energy field, the Beale family focused primarily on the development and construction of residential and commercial real estate, having recently received an architectural award for a tastefully-designed, upscale condominium community. Our family has been building houses for many generations; we trace our roots to Benjamin Beale, an orphan immigrant who was taken-in and raised by his uncle and who grew up to build and own a spice import wharf, a warehouse, and the first multi-unit apartment building in Boston in the late 1600s. Our family has been connected with the building construction trade since these early days, and this trend has continued through to the present day. Following the downturn in the housing market in the late 2000s, our family shifted its focus and began to apply our engineering and construction expertise to renewable energy -- a field which we believe holds great promise for the future of America, due to its clean energy generation technology, its lack of reliance on foreign oil imports and wars, and the plentiful direct investment and economic growth it provides to rural America.Read More
