Be Ready, Inc began as Be Ready Disaster Preparedness in 1991 when Al Cabacungan and a partner decided to create a one-stop-shop for families and communities preparing to be self-reliant during disasters. At the time, the idea was so new that Entrepreneur Magazine highlighted the venture, and late-night programs like Jay Leno and David Letterman ma... de fun of Californians putting together 72-hour kits and selling supplies for long-term water and food storage. Now over 20 years later, the laughter has ceased, as they have helped customers face earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, Y2K, 9/11, food shortages, contaminated water supplies and a host of other disasters.
