About Barrgowan Vineyard

The Barrgowan Vineyard and Winery is owned and operated by Dick and Dib Simonsen. We planted the vines in 1994 with the objective of producing a high quality Shiraz for private consumption. This specialization in Shiraz continues and the high quality is reflected in an impressive list of awards since 1998 - seeHistory page. By scientific measurement during the wine making process, we ensure the absolute minimum use of additives. The overall criterion is quality, not quantity! The wine matures for 12+ months in the best, ultra fine grained French oak barrels available, and we do not blend, filter or fine. We do not have a distributor, all wine is sold by word of mouth, mail order or email. If you would like to be on our mailing list, or order wine, please ContactUs. We have Cellar door - by appointment only.Read More
