Established in 2006. We make coffee using tried and true methods: a traditional espresso maker, Chemex, Aeropress, various drip filters, and an aeropress. Coffee is our craft. We import 90% of our green coffee directly from farmers and cooperatives whom we know and trust. We roast all of our coffee right here in Ballard, a stone's throw from Ballar... d Coffee Works, in the Ballard beer district. Our goal is to Make Coffee Better in terms of Quality, Equity, Sustainability and Transparency. And to have a great time doing it! It all started as a pop-up inside a t-shirt shop by the Pike Place Market. After six years of slinging espressos on Pike Street, we opened up in the heart of Ballard in 2012, and have served as a community living room for the neighborhood ever since. Our premium offering at Ballard Coffee Works are our direct-trade, single-origin coffees, with a special emphasis on coffees from Kenya and Ethiopia, the native land of Coffea Arabica.
