Ball Clay Studio

Ball Clay studio is an educational resource and art supply, located in the Highland Park community of Los Angeles. The Studio was founded by David Ball a Southern California Native, a local sculptor and ceramist. A mixed use studio of both a sculpture studio and pottery studio combined, Ball Clay Studio is an artistic creative community where talen... ted artists make sculptures, hand build pottery or throw on the pottery wheel. The studio is joined with creative talented individuals, consisting of both artists and student artists, focusing on pottery ceramics and sculptural clay art. Our main goal at Ball Clay Studio, is to foster self-discovery, inspire creativity and nurture the artist within, while building an environment to inspire people to create art. We hope that through our pottery classes, sculpting classes, programs, special events and gallery, we will build a sense of community with our members and visitors. Being a classically influenced sculptor, David has been creating commissioned works for major corporations including Disney, Universal Vivendi, MGM Grand, Ceasers Palace and many more since 1996. He was taught the art of making ceramics by John Blough at Mt. San Antonio College in 1991, who was was taught by F. Carlton Ball. David's portfolio of work can be seen at David Ball Art.com.
