An engineer, economist and Duntroon graduate, John served in the Australian Army before becoming an Australian Trade Commissioner in 2009. Following four international postings, he helped establish Austrade, and was a direct report in that organisation. In 1991 he set up a company to assist high growth companies, co-founded Pyksis in 2003, and deli... vered very successful regional technology commercialisation programs across regional Victoria and in the ACT and Riverina. He has also delivered strategic learning programs to over 250 ITC SMEs for the SA Government. He founded Axxos in January 2009. Following wide management and entrepreneurial experience, David ran the very successful Austrade International Trade Expansion Scheme between 1993 and 1997 and then became the co-founder of Venture Capital Partners. VCP has successfully run a $30m fund in Australia and established funds in Samoa and Fiji. VCP has also assisted Government with the establishment of such schemes as the EFIC Working Capital Guarantee and the AusIndustry R&D Concessional Loan Scheme. David has also advised AusAID on the management of its Enterprise Challenge Fund. He has been a director of over 30 companies. Hugo has held directorships and senior management positions in start up, listed and multinational organisations in the USA, EU and Australia. He has founded and directed Australian companies in the food, service and housing industries, and he understands what it takes for SMEs to develop and thrive in todays marketplace. Hugo is Managing Director of LeMessurier Solutions, Director of Cryptogen Pty Ltd and Moducom Pty Ltd. He is a member of the University of Adelaide Commercial Accelerator Scheme and Commercial Opportunity Panel, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, BioAngels, SA Angels, Australian Association of Angel Investors and AusBiotech.
