About Axis Music
Axis Music Logo Axis Music is a community-based music education program for children living in Toronto's Eglinton East-Kennedy Park area which is designated a "Neighbourhood Improvement Area" by the City of Toronto as needing improved key socio-economic services. In response to this, Axis Music has introduced and made music education free, as a step towards advancing community services. Axis Music envisions a world where all young people have equal access to the arts. The program encourages personal excellence, and believe participants can develop their potential when provided access to resources, held to high standards, and supported by professional artists and an engaged community. The students, aged 8-18, are keen young violinists, cellists and pianists, currently in the program and will learn about concert production, marketing, and the behind the scenes responsibilities through a series of workshops by Andrew.
