The school aims to provide for the academic, social and moral needs of children from age 3-9. Our community provides a dynamic social setting and classroom materials designed to enhance self-esteem, independence and help pupils acquire the skills needed for lifelong learning. The global working and social environment is changing rapidly and we beli... eve that our educational methods and curriculum should also develop to ensure pupils are given support to become problem solvers and independent learners. As well as a strong focus on academic attainment we freely admit however that our real task is to provide a happy learning experience for the children so that they look back on the Awfaz Global school community as a positive force in their lives and somewhere they can felt not only included but important contributors. The facilities and learning programmes are age appropriate and designed to be as stimulating and interactive as possible in order to further pupil's independence and socialisation. The school has spacious classrooms with a purpose built IT classroom with 15 high quality PC's and at least 2 PC's in each classroom within the primary school. We pride ourselves on the quality of Artistic development and encourage creativity in all its forms. Our pupils have access a well-equipped Art room in the primary school building and mark making, painting and messy play are actively planned into our Early Years curriculum. Pupils' progress both socially and academically is evaluated and discussed on a weekly basis by class teachers and EY staff . Parents are provided with regular written reviews each term measuring progress against key milestones within Early Years and Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 of the British National Curriculum. We also hold termly Parent teacher Conferences, and half termly 'open house' sessions to both formally and informally review pupil progress but as a small and friendly school we welcome informal visits and the Principal operates an 'open' door policy for parents.
