Autism Community Network

The Autism Community Network (ACN) was established by Steve Drakoulis in September 2011 as, initially, a Peer-to-Peer network for families of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are parents and carers who have a daily lived experience of autism and link through this network to help each other. We are not professionals and we do not... provide professional advice. We simply offer a forum to enable families to exchange information, support one another and access some much needed resources. It's a scary new world when your child receives a diagnosis of autism or any of its associated conditions. Few people understand what autism really is until they are personally affected. The information on this website, in our e-newsletters and support groups is gathered from recommendations made by our members and from local service providers. It offers insights which may assist you to make your own decisions and advocate effectively. We also work to connect adults on the spectrum in any ways we can. Our support groups, social groups and events are all designed to contribute towards improving the lives of people living under the autism spectrum.
