Aurora Private Equity was established in 2003 in Aberdeen with aim of funding and supporting emerging companies with prospects of high growth. Aurora is always keen to attract new investing members to extend its ability to fund and support high growth business opportunities. Entrepreneurial companies seeking funds are also welcome to contact us wit... h their enquiries and proposals. Our members are drawn from a wide range of business sectors including oil and gas, engineering, IT, bio-sciences, communications, commerce and other professions. They are either Sophisticated Investors or High Net Worth Individuals. Collectively, members of Aurora make investments in the £10,000 to £500,000 range. Funds raised by our members are usually doubled through Aurora's accredited partnership with the Scottish Co-Investment Fund. Collaboration with other angel groups throughout Scotland enables us to further increase total funds raised. Aurora invites those individuals who are not yet ready to invest or who wish to offer their skills and expertise to help businesses grow, or are just interested in the emerging business scene, to become part of the Aurora Network. This is simply done by registering on this site. Aurora is run by a Board of Directors drawn from its members. Investment opportunities are appraised by our directors and members with relevant background and experience. Aurora is a fully accredited partner of the Scottish Investment Bank's Co-investment Fund. Aurora is a member of LINC Scotland whose role is to support and improve the working of the business angel environment in Scotland.
