Green Bay Converting and its partners acquired the Augusta Select Tissue mill in Augusta, Georgia in 2007 to provide paper to the converting operations of GBC and GBCs allied operations of Hattiesburg Paper Company. GBC and GBCs allied companies have invested heavily in the Augusta Select Tissue Mill (AST) to enhance the legacy pulping operation and further enhance the new tissue mill. These efforts have resulted in the consistent production of high-quality pulp made from recycled fiber and the production of bath tissue, napkin and toweling grades of sanitary tissue that meets or exceeds accepted industry standards for sheet formation, basis weight consistency and tensile strength.
