Auger and Sons began when husband and wife Albert and Theresa Auger founded Auger and Sons as a home business, selling Singer sewing machines door-to-door and taking in sewing machine repair jobs in their own home. As their business grew, they expanded to a converted barn next to their house on Chestnut Hill Road in Rochester, NH. After about 30 ye... ars of success with sewing machine sales and repairs, Auger and Sons expanded to add vacuum cleaner sales and servicing to the repertoire. Currently, this store has the largest selection of parts for sewing machines and vacuum cleaners from here to Portland to Boston. If your sewing machine is broken and needs repair, there's a good chance that Auger and Sons has the parts to fix it with the thousands and thousands of parts in stock. Having been in business since 1934, not much has changed over the decades.
