It's been just over a year since we started fundraising to support Auckland DHB's adult health services, and what a year we've had together! Since our public launch last November, we've raised over $1.6 million, which is a fantastic start. We've been blown away by the public's generosity and willingness to give to a new unknown charity, and that ge... nerosity and willingness is thanks to YOU, the people who go the extra mile every day. So many of our donors tell us about the wonderful care they have received here, or the care given to a loved one here. They are donating to acknowledge and say 'thank you' for the amazing care provided by YOU - surgeons, cleaners, nurses, orderlies, receptionists, volunteers - everyone. Without your dedication to patients and their whnau, we simply couldn't achieve our fundraising goals, so thank you. We've enjoyed many highlights in the past 12 months and, most recently, we're delighted to have received a significant donation towards refurbishing the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Clinical Education Centre (CEC) at Auckland City Hospital, which is set to bring exciting upgrades to the technology, furnishings and aesthetics. Fisher & Paykel has committed $250,000 to the Foundation, and we're so grateful for the team's generosity. Their continued support will help our DHB continue to deliver exceptional clinical training, and will as ensure you all have access to cutting-edge facilities, which will improve your learning experience. Fisher & Paykel provided $1 million of funding when the CEC opened in 2004. They're now excited to see improvements happen over the next year, and look forward to continuing their partnership with Auckland DHB, Auckland City Hospital and the Foundation. We're working with other potential supporters to ensure the refurbishments are truly world-class. Last week, we were excited to attend the To Thrive Job Fair at Auckland City Hospital.
