Atlas Systems was established in 1983 with the idea of an underpinning system to correct settling of existing structures. Atlas began providing manufactured steel underpinning in the residential market in 1984. The committee at Havens found Atlas credible due to challenging projects in the commercial and industrial markets, as well as the strong prospects of future markets to explore. In 1993 Atlas introduced the helical product line with a variety of applications. The helical method proved itself ideal for time efficiency. This allowed the company's business to double. In the last seven years, the company's business has doubled twice, and it is expected to double again in the next three to four years. Over time, Atlas has developed a variety of product lines and continuously strives to create new, innovative ways to apply these products. Atlas Foundation Systems have been used to underpin, tieback, anchor and provide deep foundations for numerous types of structures and a variety of soils.
